American performer Finn, who was seen in popular TV shows including "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has died at the age of 60.
The comedy and improvisation performer succumbed at his home in LA recently having undergone treatment for a cancer diagnosis from 2022 onward, according to news outlets.
"Pat never met a stranger - just potential friends he had yet to meet," his family shared in a statement.
They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with happiness and energy".
His initial on-screen part was on a show starring George Wendt in the mid-90s, where he played the titular character's brother.
He was also seen in a recurring role on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.
He appeared as the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in the late 90s, depicting a party host who would assign unpleasant chores to his guests.

Finn was perhaps best known for playing Bill Norwood in "The Middle", starring in eight series between 2011 and 2018.
His cinematic roles encompass It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
Beyond his on-screen roles, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and served as an educator at the Colorado university, where he was a faculty member.
He was involved with a six-person improv troupe named Beer Shark Mice.
"He taught, supported, and inspired numerous pupils during his career and you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone anywhere who has anything negative to say about him," his relatives stated.
Paying homage, peer actor Richard Kind remarked there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he shared online.
Finn is remembered by his wife Donna, his three kids, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
