I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
