Red Bull Reveals Substantial 2026 Driver Line-Up: Hadjar Steps Up, Youngster Lindblad Earns Formula 1 Seat.

Red Bull has confirmed significant changes for the 2026 Formula 1 season, elevating Frenchman Isack Hadjar to its senior team and awarding British teenager Arvid Lindblad his first F1 drive.
Lindblad, who comes from a mixed Swedish-Indian background, is set to become team-mate to New Zealander Liam Lawson at the junior outfit VCARB.
This reshuffling results in Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda exiting the grid after five seasons.
The New British Hope
The British teen took part in FP1 for the Silverstone and Mexican Grands Prix in the current season.
Lindblad has been marked out as a rising talent by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old.
Regarding the company's young driver programme, a key advisor noted last year that Lindblad "appears very talented", highlighting his "natural quickness".
Red Bull prepared a programme since last year to ready Lindblad for his likely Grand Prix bow in 2026, including runs in Grand Prix practice at the British and Mexican races.
The rookie said it was a "proud moment", commenting: "Next season represents a huge step, and I know there's plenty to absorb, but I'm ready to work closely with the team and rise to it. I am incredibly excited to get started."
He has won two races in F2 this year and is P6 in the standings ahead of the final round in Abu Dhabi.
A Major Opportunity for Hadjar
The French driver celebrates his first podium in F1, secured at the Dutch Grand Prix in August.
The Frenchman's debut season began in difficult fashion when he spun out during the warm-up lap of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix. However, since then, he has been one of the most impressive newcomers this season.
He included an remarkable podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he lies in tenth place in the drivers' standings.
A senior team figure said: "Isack has displayed impressive growth and proved to be a quick learner. Crucially, he has the raw speed that is the number one requirement in this sport. We believe he can succeed alongside Max."
Hadjar described it "an awesome move" and said he felt "ready".
Lawson Retains His Seat
To partner Lindblad at Racing Bulls, Red Bull have chosen Lawson over Tsunoda.
Lawson started 2025 with the main team but was moved back after just two races. He has found his form at Racing Bulls with some strong performances, convincing Red Bull he merits more time.
The Japanese driver, meanwhile, loses his place after a difficult season. His best result is a sixth place, and he has scored a minor percentage of the team's points total.
These announcements mean that there remains no place on the Red Bull programme for Irish driver Alex Dunne, who will remain in F2 for 2026.
