Vince Zampella, the mind behind the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.

The renowned video game developer passed away following his car crashed and burst into flames on a highway in LA on Sunday, according to.
